Summary. The spread of drug-resistant TB in different regions with different rates requires to organize the monitoring of biological characteristics of Mycobacterium tuberculosis based on the data of modern molecular biological methods of investigation. It is proposed to develop the tiered laboratory information-analytical system as the basis of microbiological monitoring in Russia.

The purpose of this study was to formulate the main problems in organization of diagnostic for drug susceptibility of Mycobacterium tuberculosis to prevent the use of the results of molecular genetics and microbiological research techniques to support strategic plans for TB control as well as to develop proposals for solutions of these problems on the basis of the laboratory information-analytical system.

It was shown that for effective microbiological monitoring of tuberculosis is necessary to solve the next problems: the ensuring the reliability of data on drug-resistant TB; accounting for all epidemiologically important groups of patients in the form of statistical reporting; the collection and summing on the national level of data on drug-resistant TB for the entire spectrum of TB drugs; standardization of molecular genetics techniques to determine transmission ways for Mycobacterium tuberculosis; development methodology for consolidation data to determine the average spectrum of sensitivity Mycobacterium tuberculosis and identify genetic families Mycobacterium tuberculosis circulating in the country; determine the hierarchy for bacteriological laboratories with different levels of access to laboratory information-analytical system; creation of the state center microbiological monitoring.

The proposed system microbiological monitoring is a dynamic system of continuous surveillance for the biological characteristics of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, based on the automated registration of laboratory studies and database maintenance. Microbiological monitoring system could serve as a new platform for the analysis of TB situation and make tactical and strategic solutions for TB control.

Keywords. Monitoring drug susceptibility tuberculosis; analysis of laboratory data; microbiological monitoring; laboratory information-analytical system with various levels; the hierarchical organization of data collection and consolidation.
