Abstract. The article presents organizational approaches to develop an efficient network of medical facilities to provide medical care to rural population of the Gudermes rural municipal district of the Chechen republic.

Rural districts are characterized by extensive territories and isolated settlements. Unsatisfactory condition of transport connection, specifics of agricultural labor and life in rural areas cause additional difficulties in care organization to population of rural municipalities.

The armed conflict in the Chechen Republic in the 1990s almost totally destroyed the social infrastructure and healthcare system. As a result, the number of medical staff - residents essentially reduced, medical buildings and facilities were destroyed.

Further improvement of medical care delivery to rural dwellers is related both to its priority resources’ provision and development of organizational and managerial technologies. The recovery and development strategy of healthcare in rural municipalities in the Chechen Republic is based upon the step-by-step approach and availability of primary care including emergency, specialized and diagnostic care to rural population with specification of timing and transport availability. Creation of the Interdistrict medical center allowed to provide specialized care to patients from several rural districts.

Keywords: rural population; network of medical facilities; organization of efficient network; timing and transport availability of medical care.
