Abstract. Significance. The review is devoted to the analysis of feasibility of professional improvement by means of developing personal potential with modern education technologies.

The purpose is to analyze current situation with feasibility of self-fulfillment among medical workers within the context of their professional activity.

Methods. The authors used analytical method in combination with content analysis of publications describing methodological approaches and results of empirical studies on the topic under study. 60 out of the total of 150 sources both in paper and electronic forms were selected for the analysis. The selection was based on informative value and depth of development of concepts relevant to the study. The authors also used data of the own social survey on staffing in healthcare.

Results. The study showed that personal strategies of self-fulfillment based on the need recognition, readiness and focus on professional growth serve as instruments for fulfilling individual diverse potential.

The authors descried external and internal factors affecting qualitative characteristics of professional activity and personal development. Possibilities of using the evaluation and diagnostic instrument to optimize staff management are generalized.

Conclusions. Professional self-fulfillment implies deep recognition of the need and actions to achieve the development goals.

Individual personal professional development and improvement should become the object of design. Its effectiveness depends on properly developed individual educational programs to ensure actual qualitative changes as a result of professional improvement.

Effective self-fulfillment is based on committed personal efforts, management motivational efforts including personal motivation to achieving the set objectives, spirit of cooperation and goodwill and creativity in the labor collective.
